Sigma Pi Fraternity’s Greater New Jersey Province, West Long Branch, NJ
- Provided a one hour keynote address talking about experiences from the four years served as the Fraternity’s national president. The question and answer session was hosted by a local alumni advisor during the 19th Annual Greater New Jersey Province New Member Experience. Questions were sourced from the 170+ attendees and topics included risk management and risk mitigation education, recruitment and education opportunities for the next generation of chapter leaders, alumni cultivation tactics that are rooted in success, difficulties faced both before and after serving as national president, how to meet the challenge of leadership, and insights on the future of the national fraternity and the larger fraternity movement.

- Conducted two workshops for student leaders regarding what the data says about the future of college enrollment and how that impacts the future members of their organizations. Using national, regional, and state trends, the discussion focused on how to attract the next generation of their organizational membership based on the changing profile for the college-aged student.

- Was part of a three-member panel that instructed attendees on how to prepare for the Fraternity’s biennial Convocation. Topics included preparation for the reunion-like atmosphere, a discussion on the events that take place during the gathering, and how to best utilize networking opportunities presented at the convention. The panel was part of three-day virtual gathering of more than 100 members from across the country.

- Helped organize a half-day workshop for members of the Interfraternity Council’s member chapters. The focus of the workshop included professional development topics like best practices for LinkedIn, how to casually talk to people at networking events, dressing for success, and interview tips and tricks. The event was attended by more than 100 members of the Interfraternity Council member chapters.

- Co-hosted an informational video for Sigma Pi Fraternity’s Quarterly Seminar Series. The topic focused on informing undergraduates on how to maximize their relationships with their third party vendors. Additional discussion points included understanding various vendor types, implementing internal Chapter processes, navigating the relationship, and the connection between vendors and the undergraduate experience vs post graduate.

- Mediated a panel that talked about best practices for social media success for undergraduate fraternity chapters. Topics included frequency of posting, content for certain audiences, and stylizing posts for maximum reach. Attendees included more than 130 undergraduates from 13 chapters in and around the New Jersey region.

- Invited to talk about how student leaders can lead their organizations in a post-covid world more effectively by using a data-driven lens. Presentation did not take place, but would have included managing chapter/club programming to be better linked to the data regarding trends in enrollment and demographics and recruitment strategies for the next generation of organizational membership and leadership.

- Led a small group discussion on engaging with alumni members and how it can be an enriching and rewarding experience. Topics included how Sigma Pi undergraduates can profit by associations with men in a spirit of fraternalism and how the bonds of brotherhood may become strained over time. The session focused on proven strategies to positively and actively engage alumni members while also reviewing approaches that should be avoided.

- Hosted a regional conference of 243 New Jersey college students and 10 alumni volunteers with membership in Sigma Pi Fraternity and presented for 45 minutes regarding the 115+ year history and tradition of the organization in New Jersey. This province workshop set a new attendance record for being the most highly attended province workshop in the history of either the New Jersey or Mid-Atlantic Provinces as well as the most attended province workshop in the history of Sigma Pi Fraternity.

Sigma Pi Fraternity’s Altruistic Campus Experience (ACE) Project is the only national service program focused on fraternity men giving back to their host institutions. The presentation spanned 30 minutes and included planning, operations, and follow-up for the ACE Project.
